inBloom is a location-based app designed for the sustainable food and environmental movements. At its core, it simply makes it easier to buy what you believe in. Having already launched in New York with over 500 listings throughout the five boroughs, co-founders Andy Ross (of OK Go) and Eytan Oren (of Eytan and The Embassy) are thrilled to launch in Austin with an additional 250 local businesses. inBloom will expand its presence across the country over the course of March with launches in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago later in the month, adding thousands of new local businesses. "The requests we've gotten from people across the country asking us to expand our listings to their areas really took us by surprise," says Oren. "It feels like there's great word of mouth and we're doing everything we can to add new cities throughout this year." Founded by two musicians, it is no surprise that inBloom was first started as a project to make it easier for touring bands to live sustainably on the road.

The app can be easily customized for your specific dietary and eco preferences, and will show you the nearest businesses that are Organic, Locavore, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Paleo friendly, Raw, and environmentally friendly. The app has hundreds of listings of restaurants, farmers markets, grocery stores, CSAs, green hotels, biodiesel and electric charging stations, green supply stores, clothing stores, and retail businesses powered by renewable energy. The information for each listing is extremely detailed, well-researched, and designed to help even the most discerning consumers. "As a company that strives to feed Locavores, Vegetarians, Vegans, Paleo-friendly and the like, we think that inBloom is a great app for anyone and everyone looking to buy what they believe in," says Karli Isiyel of Kerbey Lane Cafe in Austin.

inBloom is built Andy Ross of OK Go and Eytan Oren of Eytan and The Embassy who first started the project as a way of making it easier for bands to tour more sustainably.
